Despite an unforeseen disaster ruining her carefully planned wedding reception, hotelier Sydney Riley is undaunted as she and her brand-new husband Ali leave for their honeymoon in the dunes of Cape Cod’s National Seashore. But even in this deserted location, Sydney uncovers clues that might have a bearing on the wedding fiasco. Despite hoping for a new life, she’s drawn into yet another murder investigation—this time to protect Ali, who’s been called away on a secret and dangerous assignment.
Can Sydney find the murderer(s) before Ali is harmed, or will a joyous week in the dunes be her only memory of their married life?

Q&A With the Author:
What was your inspiration for writing this book?
My inspiration for the entire series—in which The Honeymoon Homicides is the 10th installment—is the place it’s set: Provincetown, at the tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This novel in particular focuses on the dunes of the National Seashore, where eccentric artists have lived for decades in “dune shacks” whose future is now threatened. It seemed a good place to set a little murder and mayhem.
What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
What I love about a series is that you really get to know the characters. I loved thinking about the background for this story and then dropping my characters into it to see what they’d do. All of my novels are character-driven, and they often surprise even me with the places they take a story.
Do you have any other books you are working on that you can tell us about?
Absolutely. I am starting a new series, and am currently working on the first novel in that series. It takes place primarily at Mount Everest Base Camp, which is an exciting place to be, with all sorts of possible adventures.
Can you tell us about what you have planned for the future?
What I love to do most in the world is write; what I love second-most is to travel. They fit well together! I expect the next few years will be filled with both activities.
Anything more you would like to say to your readers and fans?
I’d like to say thank you. When you read my books you gift me with hours and hours of your precious time, and I will never not be grateful to you for that. I hope that in return I give you a great story, memorable characters, and thoughts for reflection.
