Q&A With the Author:

What was your inspiration for writing this book?
I love writing, and I love cozy mysteries. I’m old-fashioned, I don’t want to know the gory, graphic details about a murder! And I definitely don’t want details about other people’s sex lives. Just give me the clues and let me solve the puzzle!

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
I just love Ev, I love everything about her! She’s quiet and kind and thinks the best of others. She’s unsure of herself despite being smart. She’s totally me!

Do you have any other books you are working on that you can tell us about?
Oh for sure! I just finished writing “Sweet Tea and Suspects”, Book 4 of my Small Town Girl Mysteries. Then I’m on to my next adventure, Three Dog Mysteries series. I want to keep it in the family, so the heroine of Three Dog Mysteries, Ro, is first cousins with Ev, the heroine in my Small Town Girl Mystery series.

Can you tell us about what you have planned for the future?
I love cozies because they’re all about no graphic sex or violence. I’ve got a third series planned, Butter Stick Bakery. My long term dream is to write three (or more) cozy series with all my heroines solving lots of mysteries, having a bit of romance and a lot of fun.
