About the Author:

Janae’s family is from Louisiana and Georgia. She is the middle child of three. She began her writing career as a teenager in high school writing steamy love scenes for her classmates. She wasn’t convinced as a writer until her English teacher found her stories and told her she should

be a writer. She treasured those words for all of her adult life. She has a bachelor’s degree in information Technology. She is a dedicated mother, friend and writer. She is usually found hunched over her laptop dreaming of different ways to entertain. She lives in Savannah, Ga with

her cat Persephone and son. She loves dogs and wants to own a Husky and loves making people laugh and feel comfortable. She has a podcast called How Not To Write with Janae and her favorite color is blue. She is a Cancer.

Q&A With the Author

What was your inspiration for writing this book?
In high school I had my first relationship. It was interracial, my first. The book began as an ode to it. Then that relationship ended, and I forgot about the book for a while. I am an avid reader, and I wanted a book that had all the things I had in my book to read. So, I was told to write it. At first it was a mystery thriller then I decided magic is cool, so I added that. Lol. It’s complicated.

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
I love Trouble and Xaivier’s relationship. It’s very solid. The fact that she and he can work together and then cuddle is wonderful. Life should be as easy.

Do you have any other books you are working on that you can tell us about?
Yes. I am always writing so things are always coming out. At the moment the second part of this series is in finalizations. I am serializing a novel that will be available on Kindle Vella and my website. And a secret novel is being written as well.

Can you tell us about what you have planned for the future?
The Blue Flamed Witch is 5-6 planned series. I am really into series, and I love writing steamy dark fantasy romance. I am trying my hand at serializing a dark fantasy romance too. Bound by the Blood Moon is Season One.

Anything more you would like to say to your readers and fans?
It has been my dream to have fans. Yes, money is wonderful and living off your writing is great but its really about your fans. I live for the day that fans come to me. Or a fan asks me to have a book signing. Or I can go to a convention to meet fans in public. This is what I dream of.
