In the new Vintage Kitchen Mystery from the author of A Calculated Whisk, Jaymie’s not sure who to believe when every suspect’s alibi has as many holes as a sieve . . .
Vintage cookware collector Jaymie Müller is stunned when an irate woman accuses her pharmacist friend Val of tampering with her prescription. When more unfounded accusations follow, it seems clear the woman has a personal grudge against Val. But before they can figure out why, Jaymie and Val stumble upon the woman’s dead body on the steps of Val’s pharmacy. Given her altercations with the woman and the location of the body, the police naturally suspect Val.
Jaymie has heard rumors that the victim had become forgetful and erratic, but could that explain her death? And why was Val being framed as her murderer? Determined to find the clues that connect the woman’s strange behavior to her death, Jaymie begins questioning the people in her life—and soon suspects that the culprit is among them. But she’ll have to be careful about who she confronts, because while solving murders is hard work, there’s a killer on the loose who finds committing them all too easy . . .
Includes a vintage recipe!

Q&A With the Author
Q1 - What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
A1 – Sieve and Let Die? Well, it is #11 in the Vintage Kitchen Mystery series, so I get to revisit a place that feels like home, Queensville, Michigan, along the St. Clair River. And it is set in autumn, my favorite time of year, and I feel like all the people – Jaymie, Mrs. Stubbs, Valetta – are friends I haven’t been able to talk to for a while.
Q2 - Do you have any other books you are working on that you can tell us about?A2 – Oh, do I have other books… yes. I am currently writing:
1) Lady Anne and the Haunted Schoolgirl, Lady Anne Addison mystery #5 In Georgian England Lady Anne Addison is anxiously awaiting her wedding to the magnificent Marquess of Darkefell, as well as trying to navigate the choppy waters of her family’s drama, between her father and his estranged wife. But when a schoolgirl dies at the well establish girl’s school run by the literary Lee sisters, Anne must turn all her attention to the death.
2) Thanks for Muffin, Merry Muffin Mystery #8. Merry and her crew are finally opening the Wynter Woods Center for the Performing Arts on her property after years of working on it. The gala goes well, but after two years of no dead bodies, Merry once again must figure out who killed somebody at Wynter Castle!
3) Cat Got Your Tongs, Vintage Kitchen Mystery #12. Jaymie investigating a death (or two!) beneath the bluffs along the St. Clair River! We meet again irascible Miss Lois Perry (cousin to Mrs. Martha Stubbs, Jaymie’s friend, and featured in No Grater Danger, Vintage Kitchen Mystery #7) as they look after a colony of feral cats in the midst of a cold February.
Q3 - Can you tell us about what you have planned for the future?A3 – Books. And more books. Always, books.
Q4 - How long have you been writing?A4 – Wow… uh, since I was a teenager, really. Professionally, twenty four years. I started in the business writing Regency romances for Kensington Zebra. My first book (as Donna Simpson) was Lord St. Claire’s Angel, and I never looked back! My first mystery published was A Deadly Grind, in May 2012.
Q5 - Anything more you would like to say to your readers and fans?A5 – A resounding Thank You! Thank you for buying (or borrowing!) and reading (or listening to!) My books. You don’t know and never will know how important you are to me, how much I think about you while I’m writing. So drop me a line at: Victoria (at) victoriahamiltonmysteries (dot) com! I love to hear from readers.
