Q&A With the Author

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

This book is based on two real individuals who actually ran a pearl business, so I had a really fun time bringing their fictional counterparts to life. And then, of course, sticking them in hot water and letting them figure their way out. The most fun was letting the real Kelly and Jodi read the book and finding out that they thought I did a great job at pegging their personalities (including adding little tidbits that I recalled from attending their pearl parties that really fit them and made their characters almost identical to them).

Do you have any other books you are working on that you can tell us about?

Oh, yeah! I’ve got a lot of books coming out this year including Pearl Party Mysteries Book 2. I’ve also got another fun cozy series with a mature heroine called Middle Age is Murder. Book 1, Moving is Murder, just debuted last Christmas and I’ve got another one planned for this December as well. I’ve also got a books coming out in each of my other series (ranging from adventure to contemporary fantasy to more cozies!). Check them all out at www.anovelideapublishing.com

Can you tell us about what you have planned for the future?

I’m planning on adding to each of my current series but I’ve also got another new contemporary cozy fantasy series in the works that will debut later this year, too. It’s a really fun romp into fantasy, but very light, so even if you’re not a big fantasy fan, you can still enjoy it!

How long have you been writing?

I have always enjoyed writing ever since I was a kid, but got away from it as I built my career. I started writing seriously in 2019 and haven’t stopped since!
