Book Blogger Hop - Feb. 1st - 7th
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer's permission, Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013.
Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week’s question:
Audio books vs Ebook? If the world stopped printing books which would you prefer between the two? (submitted by Angelica @ Paperback Princess)
My Answer:
My main preference would be for the Ebook. According to GoodReads, I have approx 13.5K books in my to be read shelf. These are all ebooks that I own. Amazon tells me that I have more than this. One day I will figure out where the discrepancy in numbers is and get it corrected. I think it's fairly safe to say that I have an addiction at this point. Admittedly, I am too cheap pay for audiobooks - but my tablet does text to speech and that is good enough for me. Plus, it allows me to multi-task throughout the day while 'reading' books.

I love how ebooks have given me the ability to forever hoard my treasures... And the junk. I never have to surrender piles of books again. :)
ReplyDeleteI do have to admit that I kind of miss donating my piles of books to the senior citizen center. But you are right - it's so easy to collect large numbers of ebooks without them taking up too much space.
